Rooted in the railway industry
Our engineering story started in Italy as a supplier to the automotive and railway industries, and railway customers have relied on us for two decades.
Today we combine that experience with in-house hardware design, rugged embedded computing and fault-injection validation, to deliver on-board electronics that behave in service exactly as they did in the lab.
Designed for the train, not only for the lab
On a train, the large inductance of long power-supply cables meets the very low impedance of the on-board lead-acid battery. At start-up or disconnection, this combination creates stresses that show up only on board — unless they are specifically tested.
We design EN 50155-compliant circuits and simulate them with CAD/CAE tools — transient, smoke and Monte Carlo analysis — before PCB layout.
Prototypes are then validated in the laboratory, in climate and EMC chambers and wherever else the application requires, before EN 50155 requirements are met.
What we deliver for railway projects
EN 50155 electronics for rolling stock — design, simulation, prototyping and validation.
Rugged ARM single board computers for transportation, from fleet management to passenger systems, compliant with EN 50155 — see Single Board Computers.
Fault injection validation of railway devices on dedicated nail beds, with real, repeatable evidence — see Mission-Critical Testing.
EMI considered from the design stage, so EN 50155 EMC requirements are addressed before the certification lab, not after.
Long-term availability — we still deliver products our customers first bought from us more than 10 years ago.
Volume production through EMC Embedded Modular Computers, our production site in Romania.
